When a pilot is downed, ammunition is at an extreme premium. Traditional military select fire burst is three rounds and all of them go with one pull of a trigger. A better Burst was needed. So American firearm innovators answered the call. The new “Burst” is two rounds - one round goes on the pull of the trigger and one round goes on the release of the trigger. The operator has the option to fire in burst or switch to semi and save the second round.
The National Fire Arms Act of 1986 made it illegal for civilians to own “machine guns”. The law defines a “machine gun” as multiple rounds being fired with only ONE articulation of the finger on the trigger. However, since the new technology burst technically requires an articulation of the finger for both a pull and a release, it does not violate the strictest letter of the law.
It’s not just our opinion that this amazing piece of military hardware is 100% civilian legal. Each part and piece of this rifle — and the sum of all its parts — are ATF reviewed and approved. Its an extensive process and the ATF publishes its opinion letters.
Every rifle and pistol installed with our “Burst” technology comes with a letter from a licensed lawyer detailing all the patents, ATF approvals and citation to the specific federal and state laws that apply to your select fire weapon. You can rest assured that your gun is 100% legal to own. We offer this because every time you shoot it, you end up thinking, “Wow! Is this thing really legal?!?”
It’s expensive. It’s impractical. It’s the first thing you’ll want to do with your new rifle. It’s ok. Have fun and light a cigar off the barrel when your done. Don’t worry. The gun can take the punishment.
There are drop in “binary” triggers and toys like bump stocks that sort of do what our rifle system does. ..sort of! Where they fail is that these systems are range toys that might or might not work, and if you are at the range — that’s ok. Our system is designed ground up as a military battle rifle that must be able to defend your life with military grade reliability. When your life depends on the gun going “bang” every time its supposed to, you won’t want an unreliable toy. You will want the same reliability that the military expects and demands.
